This course is for technicians who are responsible for testing endoscope drying cabinets.

This course will provide you with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform drying cabinet tests, interpret results and complete relevant test documentation.

BY THE END OF THE COURSE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO:

– Identify test protocols defined by HTM01-06

– State how to test for air flow through lumens and how to maintain the quality of an endoscope

– Identify how to test for airborne contaminates and contamination levels and interpret laboratory results

– Outline how to test effectiveness of drying function – externally and lumen(s)

– State how to verify calibration and permitted tolerances

– Identify how to test differential pressure across hepa filter

– State how to check the pressure within cabinet and know limits

– Complete a series of periodic drying cabinet tests
