John has been CEO and Director of Training since 2003. In the early 1990s John joined Eastwood Park as Head of Training Support for what was then the UK NHS Training Authority.
He has guided the organisation through significant change, taking it forward from a reliance on Government subsidy to breaking even within just two years. Following a management buyout, John now heads the successful, independent and expanding international training business.

John’s career has spanned qualifying as an engineer, quality assurance management, apprenticeship programme development and becoming a senior lecturer.
He has developed new qualifications and National Occupancy Standards with City & Guilds of London.
John’s drive to develop higher education and training for those in healthcare engineering and support services has been evident throughout.
John has a Master’s Degree in Education; he is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and was awarded Honorary Membership of City & Guilds of London.

Combining his engineering and educationalist knowledge, John has developed compliant service strategies for healthcare organisations worldwide.
Delivering accredited training and learning programmes is essential in raising competency-based standards and structured career pathways for healthcare engineering professionals.
John has developed an extensive knowledge from his experiences around the world, with an understanding of the standards and codes of practice that are continually developing.
