Strengthening NHS Estates & Facilities: May 2026 Courses in Morecambe

Eastwood Park Training is pleased to announce a comprehensive programme of Estates & Facilities Management courses taking place in Morecambe this May, designed specifically to support NHS and healthcare professionals in strengthening safety, resilience, assurance and accountability across their estates portfolios.

These courses are delivered by Adrian Eggleton, a nationally recognised expert in healthcare estates, facilities management and risk assurance, and are ideal for professionals working across Estates, Engineering, Soft FM, Capital Projects and senior leadership roles.

Course Programme – Morecambe | May 2026

📅 5 May 2026

This course addresses the historic imbalance in estates guidance, where engineering has dominated at the expense of Soft FM and wider maintenance. Delegates will explore a structured assurance framework—aligned to HTM principles—that strengthens governance, improves safety and prepares Soft FM leaders for managing broader estates portfolios.

📅 6–7 May 2026

Designed for middle and senior managers, this course provides a practical understanding of legislation, codes of practice and technical guidance required to manage healthcare waste safely and sustainably. Delegates will learn how to embed waste management within a resilient Safety Management System while contributing to Net Zero ambitions.

📅 12 May 2026

This course brings healthcare professionals together to explore Facilities Management-related risks that can impact service resilience. Delegates will be guided through the legislative and operational context, enabling them to assess risks effectively and develop robust business continuity and recovery plans.

📅 13–14 May 2026

With growing national focus on RAAC, building safety and backlog maintenance, this course fills a critical gap in estates assurance for building fabric, structures and Soft FM. Using principles from HTM-00 and CAP 795, delegates will learn how to develop Safety Management Systems and Safety Cases that manage risk to ALARP within a financially constrained NHS.

📅 19 May 2026

This course explores the breadth and complexity of the NHS estates portfolio, clarifying roles, responsibilities and routes to assurance. Delegates will develop a practical action plan to improve safety, resilience and accountability at board and senior leadership level.

📅 20–21 May 2026

A two-day course enabling estates and capital staff to manage projects to time and budget, in line with Trust Standing Financial Instructions (SFIs) and Standing Financial Orders (SFOs).

Day one covers NHS finance, business cases and project processes within the legislative framework. Day two explores Modern Methods of Construction, the Construction Playbook, Net Zero, and provides practical insight into contracts and dispute resolution.
