Eastwood Park is pleased to announce we will be working with the Medical Device Authority (MDA) and Ministry of Health in Malaysia to raise standards in the management of medical devices.
The Malaysian Health Minister witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Medical Device Authority (MDA), Ministry of Health and Eastwood Park (Malaysia).
John Thatcher, CEO, Eastwood Park commented: “Through this agreement, we will work together via public private partnership in the development of “The Medical Device Competency Regulatory programme. This is to ensure competency among the persons using or operating a medical device or a person installing, commissioning, testing, maintaining or disposing of medical devices in Malaysia.”
The government in Malaysia is determined to develop a harmonised medical device competency programme for hospital support services in the public and commercial healthcare sectors. The plan includes delivery of accredited healthcare technology training for engineers, nurses, operators, managers, hospital administrators and facilities management professionals.
