Taking steps to bridge the skills gap

As part of the launch of our new April 2019-March 2020 training calendar, we have developed three new short (3-day) biomedical equipment courses for delivery from April 2019.

These focused courses offer hands-on training on cardiovascular equipment (CVE), infusion devices, foetal monitors and incubators (IFMI) plus maintaining theatre equipment (MTE).

They have been specifically designed to bridge the gaps that often occur between academic knowledge and skills with the requirements of the actual work place; we ensure learners leave confident and having gained a thorough understanding of the principles and practicalities of operation of the equipment.

All three courses work to relevant and current legislation and guidance, including IEC60601/IEC62353 and are suited to both new entrants and existing technical staff to the healthcare sector who are involved in maintaining these devices.

Maintaining Cardiovascular Equipment (CVE)

Providing you with an understanding of cardiovascular related equipment, its operating principles, applications and maintenance procedures.

Maintaining Infusion Devices, Foetal Monitors & Incubators (IFMI)

Developed to provide participants with an understanding of the principles of infusion devices, foetal monitors, infant incubators, and its applications and maintenance procedures.

See us at the EBME Expo 2019

There will be an opportunity to find out more about these new courses, as well as our existing portfolio of hands-on biomedical equipment training, at the EBME Expo from 03-04 April in Milton Keynes, where we will be exhibiting on stand D25 throughout the event.

Medical equipment trainer and expert Dr Scott Brown will also be speaking at the event, on technology adoption and connectivity for patient monitoring using HL7 and WPA2 to integrate with hospital clinical applications affording opportunities for improved workflow.
