We are delighted to have delivered our first Boiler Operation Accreditation Scheme (BOAS) and BOAS re-accreditation training at Eastwood Park last month.
It marks a new partnership with Cochran - internationally renowned boiler specialists - where we will be working together on the delivery of boiler operation and management training.
The BOAS Cat 2 Steam course is designed for practising boiler house operators or those who are responsible for managing a boiler house and its operators. It is also essential training for commissioning engineers or boiler service engineers, to be compliant with PUWER (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998). The BG01 (Safe operation of boilers) requires boiler operators to be BOAS trained.
BOAS reaccreditation is required every five years, so training needs to be taken on or before the fifth anniversary of gaining BOAS accreditation.
Eastwood Park’s new programme of BOAS training dates has just been published in the April 2019-March 2010 training calendar.
"We are delighted to have formed a new partnership with Cochran", commented Lyndsay Corbett, Eastwood Park’s Training Manager. "It opens up new training opportunities for our customers across the country. We will be delivering training at our specialist residential training centre in the South, as well as at Cochran’s facilities in Annan in Scotland. We are confident that this new partnership will provide even more of a fully rounded training offering for our customers working in both healthcare and commercial sectors".
