Eastwood Park Training marks its 50th year in 2019

As we all settle into another new year, at Eastwood Park it will be more significant than most. Our long-established engineering, estates and facilities management training centre will be celebrating 50 years of delivering training.

On our private 200-acre estate, Eastwood Park has hosted trainees, engineers, managers and directors in their formative years and many of whom are now working in healthcare services all over the world.

Our Grade II Victorian country house and estate was once owned by the Home Office during WWII and later the police, prior to being handed over to the NHS.

Today Eastwood Park is independently owned following a successful management buyout 16 years ago, when the company further developed to attract local and corporate events business to maximise the potential of the estate when training was not scheduled.

We are continually progressing, with new water, health and safety and medical equipment courses on our latest scheduled training calendar, to be launched this month.

Today the centre is currently undergoing further transformation. The main house is in the midst of a refurbishment, phase one of which will be completed mid-year; alongside progressing the development of its purpose-built training centre on the estate, which will eventually replace the specialist learning facilities currently on site.

John Thatcher, Eastwood Park's CEO is looking forward to the future:

“We are delighted to be marking our 50th year with 12-months of significant change and development to continually improve the expert training we deliver.  I do not under estimate the task ahead or the pleasure I have to be leading the dedicated team of staff and associates who, without their expertise and support, we would not be where we are today.  We have exciting times ahead and it's my pleasure to be involved in this transformation during Eastwood Park's 50th anniversary year.”
