Earlier this month we welcomed the largest group of students yet to Eastwood Park for our October 2018 degree enrolment and study weekend.
The group included returning students well established in their studies, as well as three new cohorts, including those starting out on our Foundation degree medical equipment technologies.
It was also encouraging to see a number of students continuing their studies onto our BSc programme, having already completed an Eastwood Park foundation degree and graduated this summer.
The degrees are all part-time, work-based qualifications, the advantages of which should not be underestimated. Learners are progressing in their roles in the workplace and supporting this through continuous learning among fellow students.
Attending our study weekends also provides an ideal environment for students and tutors to get to know each other and discuss the modules in more detail. There’s access to personal one-to-one guidance, individual learning planning sessions, as well as intensive support in engineering maths and science. Learners also benefit from having access to hospital equipment and building services installations, plus lectures delivered by industry experts.
Eastwood Park works in partnership with Staffordshire University to deliver these three degree programmes, unique to the healthcare engineering sector. Staffordshire recently rose 6 places in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2019 (following a rise of 29 places last year).
Are you ready to take the next step in your career? Our 2019 degrees are open to those working across a range of healthcare engineering or estates & FM disciplines, with the choice of
- Foundation degree hospital engineering
- Foundation degree medical equipment technologies
- BSc (Hons) management of healthcare engineering technologies & facilities
