HEFMA South West & Eastwood Park Training present Fire Safety: Burning issues – everyone’s business

Eastwood Park is pleased to be hosting the next in a series of seminars run in partnership with HEFMA South West. “Burning Issues - Everybody’s Business” will take place on 27th April 2017 at Eastwood Park and centres on those who require an awareness of fire safety in healthcare.

Every hospital ward/department should have a detailed fire response strategy, reflecting not just the urgency of escape, but also the susceptibility of patients to evacuation and continuing care. This non-technical seminar will provide delegates with a unique overview of fire safety issues and responsibilities whether as an employer; manager; member of staff; specialist fire or general contractor.

The session will be led by Paul Beech (pictured above) who, following a long career in the fire service, began his own fire safety consultancy supporting a number of NHS Trusts as well as developing and leading the fire safety training at Eastwood Park. Paul will cover topics including:

  • Fire safety management policies
  • Local fire response strategies Where are your fire precautions?
  • How our actions can increase risk
  • Communicating with staff
  • The inconvenience of false alarms

To attend your Trust must be a member of HEFMA South West.
