Eastwood Park is pleased to be returning to the EBME seminar on 26th April this year. We will be exhibiting on stand B1 and our Medical Equipment expert and trainer Dr Scott Brown is representing us as a speaker at the seminar.
Eastwood Park Training has long had a reputation as the place to go for practical training for healthcare engineers. Now even more innovative and unique teaching techniques are being used during medical equipment training to ensure learners fully understand many of the more complex elements.
Dr Scott Brown, has introduced a number of new approaches to better illustrate elements of the “Biomedical equipment maintenance practice” course, he commented:
“ECG is one of the most common physiological parameters to measure for diagnostic purposes and a core part of the course. Whilst the anatomical points that the electrodes are placed at could be described textually, I developed an ‘ECG t-shirt’ so that delegates have a visual reference from which to learn.
“Other props have been developed to teach lung compliance and ECG right leg drive in an equally memorable way.”
