From this month, Eastwood Park is pleased to add confined spaces training to its already broad portfolio of technical engineering and estates & facilities management courses.
Two new courses - Authorised Person Confined Spaces (JSP 375) and a refresher – are being delivered by Morsafe Limited on behalf of Eastwood Park, in a new confined spaces training area at our Gloucestershire site.
These courses are for designate or appointed Authorised Persons (Confined Spaces) who require an introduction to or updating on the safety rules and procedures for working in confined spaces, ensuring a safe system of work is implemented, managed and controlled by competent persons. This includes senior supervisors and managers who are responsible for safe systems of work under the Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L101, as well as their company or trust procedures relating to confined space activities.
Covering JSP 375, NHS and SNHS (SHTM 08-07) confined space procedures and other similar company procedures along with the ACoP L101, the courses are suitable across the healthcare, commercial and defence sectors.
Gerry Morpeth, Course Director & Authorising Engineer at Morsafe Limited commented
“Morsafe are excited to be working with Eastwood Park in a joint venture offering a range of Confined Space training courses from basic awareness to more complex and detailed management training for Authorised Persons (Confined Spaces) to ensure safe systems of work are being implemented and maintained in order to meet procedural and legal compliance.”
Lyndsay Corbett, Eastwood Park’s Training Manager (Customer Service, Sales & Operations) added
“The inclusion of confined spaces training on our new 2021-22 calendar is another step forward in our commitment to providing our customers with a comprehensive range of engineering and safety training. With over 15 years of experience in the industry, Morsafe bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Eastwood Park and we look forward to working with them in the delivery of these key courses.”
