In November we were delighted to join several of our degree students as they graduated at a ceremony hosted by Staffordshire University at King’s Hall, Stoke-on-Trent.
A mix of learners from across our three healthcare engineering degree programmes attended, some of whom have been with us since our very first foundation degree cohort in 2016.
Following a pre-ceremony reception at Spode China Halls, everyone made their way to King’s Hall where the university’s Vice Chancellor Professor Liz Barnes CBE welcomed students from the School of Creative Arts and Engineering and thanked Staffordshire’s partner institutions, including Eastwood Park, for attending. The walk across the stage to collect one’s certificate can be daunting, but everyone made it across with smiles all round - the culmination of months of hard work.
It was then time for photos and much deserved celebrations with family. Lisa Slevin, Eastwood Park’s Training Manager (Development, Quality Assurance, Work-Based Learning) and Lyndsay Corbett, Training Manager (Customer Service, Sales & Operations) attended the day, having seen our learners through the duration of their study. Lisa commented
“It was wonderful to see so many graduate from our healthcare engineering degrees this year, a testament to the hard work they have all put in throughout their time with us. It was three years ago that we met our first group of learners and I’m delighted to see many now complete their degree journey with us.
“2019 marks our largest group of graduates yet, which follows on from our largest degree intake in October this year. It is encouraging to see that the potential for our degrees to support the careers of those in the healthcare and estates environment is being realised.”
From everyone at Eastwood Park, congratulations! We look forward to seeing where your degree takes you in your career.
