Eastwood Park’s 2016-2017 training dates now available

Eastwood Park is pleased to announce the release of its latest training calendar, with details of its specialist healthcare engineering, estates and facilities management courses for 2016-2017.

We are delighted to offer two new part-time higher education qualifications, with the option to progress to a BSc (Hons) Management degree.

  • Foundation Degree Hospital Engineering
  • Foundation Degree Medical Equipment Technologies
  • BSc (Hons) Management of Healthcare Engineering Technologies & Facilities

These will begin in April 2016, with a second cohort starting in September 2016.

Our calendar also features our refreshed medical gas training portfolio, with training for all staff involved in the handling of medical air - Porters, Nurses, Designated Nursing Officers, Competent Persons, Authorised Persons and Quality Controllers.

New to our Health & Safety training portfolio is the 3 day first aid at work qualification, for those who wish to become a First Aider in the workplace (complying with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981).

There is also a new course for estates & facilities management staff. Essential HTM overview will provide an overview of Health Technical Memorandums (HTMs). It is particularly suitable for Directors and Heads of Estates & Facilities required to fulfil the role of Designated Person/Responsible Person, as well as estates teams with responsibility for implementing best practice guidance.

We have also highlighted two of our bespoke services on the calendar this year. HTM compliance analysis provides organisations with help identifying gaps in HTM compliance and recommendations on a route to improvement.  Our training needs analysis, focuses on an organisation’s or department’s specific requirements and a tailor made training plan. With essential training in everything from decontamination and infection control through core hospital engineering disciplines to estates and facilities management, Eastwood Park delivers courses to meet the latest regulations and HTM guidelines.
