Mark Fordham, Medical Engineering

Mark is our Medical Equipment Portfolio Manager.

Mark is an experienced dual professional who brings teaching expertise combined with over 35 years of engineering experience and has been instrumental in driving the design and development of the medical engineering portfolio training facilities and programmes here at Eastwood Park Training Ltd.

Mark started his medical engineering career whilst serving in the military developing medical device equipment support policy, management of a busy medical device global maintenance and auditing department, defence procurement of medical devices and then as subject matter expert to the Director of Equipment Support, (Army). On completion of his military career Mark then took the position of Training Consultant, (Decontamination), here at Eastwood Park on completion of service and then progressed into the further and higher education sectors as a freelance lecturer. Mark’s next role was a trainer/lecturer at the Defence College of Technical Training teaching the biomedical engineering course and degree subjects in classic and digital control engineering. During his time with DCTT, Mark qualified as a teacher gaining professional status, Qualified Teacher Learning & Skills, (QTLS)

Mark brings that in-depth expertise and knowledge gained from his 35-year career and passion in the delivery of the medical engineering portfolio to his learners.  His course delivery stretches and challenges his learners with as many interactive theoretical and practical elements as possible to reflect his training philosophy of ensuring every learner has the skills, knowledge, behaviours and, most importantly, confidence to carry out their role.
