Our Lift Safety courses take place in our purpose-built Lift Training Facility, home to three different types of lift installation allowing for practical, hands-on training and fault-finding.
Provide learners with the skills and knowledge to carry out the safety checks required to gain safe access to a Lift Pit/Shaft, Lift Car Top on Electric Traction, Hydraulic & MRL Lift installations in a safe and responsible manner. It follows the principles for the safe use and operation of the car top control unit, lift pit pendant and the safe isolation of lift installations in line with EWP SLP1.
By the end of the course learners will be able to:

Eastwood Park’s lift training covers electrical traction (including MRLs) and hydraulic lifts.
For staff nominated to carry out the release of trapped passengers, refreshers are required every 12 months. For Authorised Persons (Lifts) , re-training is required every 3 years.
