Classrooms are available for theory learning and group exercises (close to training laboratories when practice activities are included).
This course is designed for those responsible for the management of water hygiene or their deputies (managers or those designated the role of Responsible Person). In addition to Legionella, you will also consider the management of other hazards and risks
This course goes beyond simply giving you the understanding of your roles and responsibilities for maintaining safe water systems. It will first develop your ability to assess your organisation's current level of compliance and its exposure to risks, then give you the knowledge and skills to be able to take action to improve compliance and reduce those risks.
The course is based around the core elements of compliance and uses an audit tool based on guidance from the HSE to examine in a practical and structured fashion the requirements to achieve compliance. You will work through the requirements to identify if your organisation is compliant or not and what needs to be addressed. The course ends with a brief written examination, and then you will be asked to complete a follow-up exercise after your return to the workplace.
