We are delighted to offer three part-time higher education qualifications:

  • Foundation degree hospital engineering*
  • Foundation degree medical equipment technologies
  • BSc (Hons) management of healthcare engineering technologies & facilities

*incorporating multi engineering disciplines: decontamination; medical gases; hvac; water hygiene; fire; electrical; estates

Is this for me?

Our degrees are open to those working within one of the above healthcare engineering disciplines or estates & FM disciplines.

You may be considering your next career move and have been working as a technician/engineer or within the hospital estates team for several years. In order to progress to a more senior position or managerial role, you'll probably find that your employer demands a degree; although you can't beat experience, a degree level qualification will help your standing in the employment market.

Programme information

Our foundation degrees are two-year, work-based, blended learning programmes, enabling you to learn in the workplace and through workbooks, online study and tests, with the addition of four study weekends per year at Eastwood Park's training centre.

On completion there is the option to progress onto a further year's study for a BSc (Hons) Management of Healthcare Engineering Technologies & Facilities. Applicants with other relevant qualifications and experience are also welcome.

In partnership...

Eastwood Park has partnered with industry focused Staffordshire University to deliver these programmes with us.

IHEEM confirm that the Membership & Registration Committee have confiremd both foundation degrees meet the academic requirements for registration as an Engineering Technician (EngTech).

This means that successful students will be able to move to registration as an EngTech, subject to being a member of IHEEM and the completion of a short pro-forma report covering the “E” competencies, to supplement those covered in the course, probably more specifically related to their work.
