We are delighted to offer three higher education qualifications:
*incorporating multi engineering disciplines: decontamination; medical gases; hvac; water hygiene; fire; electrical; estates
Our degrees have been specifically developed and written to reflect the needs of your workplace and the healthcare sector and are open to those working within the above healthcare engineering disciplines or estates & FM disciplines.
It may be time to consider your next career move. If you are a technician or engineer or have been working within an estates or biomedical team for a while, your employer may demand a degree as criterion for that next step. Although you can't beat experience, a degree level qualification will help your standing in the employment market.
Our foundation degrees are two-year, work-based, blended learning programme enabling you to learn in the workplace and through Moodle with online study, workbooks plus direct practice, with the addition of four study weekends per year. (View details about visiting Eastwood Park including accessibility here).
On completion there is the option to progress onto a further year's study for a BSc (Hons) Management of Healthcare Engineering Technologies & Facilities. Applicants with other relevant qualifications and experience are also welcome.
The big benefit is that you carry on working and can study online. You will have access to our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) anytime, anywhere, 24/7.
Demonstrating additional study and commitment, particularly with such a valued qualification, will assist future promotion prospects and provide potential for earning more, alongside the satisfaction of achieving your own personal goals.
These degrees are awarded by Staffordshire University.
Eastwood Park is partnered with Staffordshire University, an institution with over 100 years' experience in higher education. SU is renowned for its focus on graduate employability and provides industry-relevant courses in a variety of subject areas, including computing, engineering, healthcare and science.
IHEEM confirm that the Membership & Registration Committee have confirmed both foundation degrees meet the academic requirements for registration as an Engineering Technician (EngTech).
This means that successful students will be able to move to registration as an EngTech, subject to being a member of IHEEM and the completion of a short pro-forma report covering the “E” competencies, to supplement those covered in the course, probably more specifically related to their work.
Please contact Eastwood Park in the first instance and we will guide you through the application process.
